Tsujirihei
Under the leadership of Tsuji Shinsuke, who shares a great friendship with Me, Tsujirihei forges a meaningful partnership with Adastra, celebrating the rich heritage of Japanese tea as they introduce it to the North American market.
The exquisite taste of Uji , renowned for its authentic tea flavor, originates from the Uji region in Kyoto, where the tea is nurtured in rich soil and grown in the shade for over 20 days prior to harvesting. This meticulous process involves covering new tea buds to shield them from direct sunlight, which enhances their rich flavor and delightful sweetness.
Tsujirihei established in 1860, stands as one of the oldest companies in Japan, proudly representing sixth-generation farmers dedicated to the art of tea cultivation.
We are dedicated to reshaping the narrative of Matcha through Tsujirihei's proud legacy, spanning over 160 years since its founding in 1860, to the world through ADASTRA, A meaningful collaboration grounded in mutual respect and a commitment to Japanese tradition.

[ PHILOSOPHY ]We do not create trends. We select what has already proven its value, and translate it into a contemporary context without altering its essence. This philosophy naturally led us to Uji matcha.
